Project Management/New Initiatives: Conducting feasibility studies for evaluation of project, present cost/benefit analysis at

with Couriers/ Transporters. Monitoring the performance by analyzing delivery time. Interfacing with Banks & Marine Insurance
Companies for import related issues like establishment of LCs, Marine Cargo Insurances & GR Waivals.
Supplier Relationship Management: Developing long-term relationships with local & foreign suppliers; managing day-to-day
supplier performance to ensure meeting of Quality norms, Cost, Delivery and Service. Conducting suppliers’ audits on a regular
basis to measure supplier performance against defined standards and implement necessary corrective actions. Developing
alternate vendor base for spearheading import substitution initiatives. Undertaking balance sheet analysis of vendors for cost
analysis/negotiations & Break Even Point Analysis Study for spearheading actual cost input data.
New Product Development/Quality: Managing the entire product development including requirement analysis, finalising
specifications, prototype development and testing activities. Implementing various Engineering Change Note / VA & VE Ideas
with key focus on Quality, Cost & Delivery. Ensuring compliance to quality systems and comply with OHSAS-18001, ISO-9001 &
TPM Quality Standards as well as maintaining requisite documents.
Commercial Operations: Preparing outstanding LC (Inland/Foreign) Statements. Documenting Import-Export Transaction.
Handling complete commercial documentation for export/ import in compliance with statutory regulations. Establishing Letters
of Credit & Vetting of necessary commercial documents. Obtaining LC/ BL / Consignment Notes & handle remittance/receipt of
foreign funds. Preparing statement of exports (MIS) & settlement of commissions to Overseas Agents.
