Consumers want content and apps that are relevant to their lives, and they have plenty of suitable choices when they browse Nokia Store. If your app is presented in a language in which they’re not skilled, they’re likely to tire of it soon or they may not download it at all. The Nokia Web Tools suite makes it easy for you to localise your web app to increase downloads and engagement and to improve user experience. In this webinar, Series 40 web tools expert Naresh Kumar will demonstrate how easy it is to localise Series 40 web apps for multiple languages and regions. We suggest that you install Nokia Web Tools before attending the webinar. You’ll be able to understand the training without using the software, but you’ll learn more overall by starting to practise with Nokia Web Tools right after the session.

 Localisation support is folder based.
 Create a directory called “locales” inside widget’s root directory.
 Create locale specific folders inside “locales” folder, with locale names.
 For ex: en, fr, de, zh-CN, zh-TW
 Include different resources that are appropriate for the locales.

Nokia Theme API and Webview API are new additions in Nokia Asha SDK 1.2. The Theme API enables developers to change themes and to access the properties of a current theme. This our Twelfth semiannual report on the global Cryptocurrency mining industry. Bitcoin is the world’s largest special purpose supercomputer. And it is globally decentralized. Millions of nodes all run the same open-source code to secure the Bitcoin network, create value, and put new transactions onto the distributed ledger. The latest Top500 list has just been announced at the ISC 2024 conference in Hamburg, and once again the Frontier supercomputer with 1.2 Exaflops peak performance is number one on the list. If assigned to SHA-256 hashing, Frontier would provide only the equivalent hash rate of about three cabinets of the latest high-end Bitcoin mining systems, costing less than 0.1% of Frontier’s cost. Michael Saylor, Chairman of MicroStrategy, has pointed out that GPUs are two orders of magnitude slower than the 5-nanometer technology of custom ASICs used for Bitcoin mining today. He makes the point that the Bitcoin network is unassailable by all of the hyperscale computing resources combined in AWS, Google, and Microsoft Azure cloud data centers today.
