Game mechanics have been out there for years, however the change is that successes of the game industry in recent years showed us the power of game mechanics, and made everybody turn towards gamification on order to enhance their businesses. Some of these successes are..Talking about the power of games, taking as an example a very successful and well designed game like WoW, a dedicated player.. And in case we thought this affects just a specific target group, it seems quite the opposite

Don’t have to wait for AR Goggles or 4G networks. We have to get our heads around from alll these amazing technologies out there and make the most out of them.
My jigsaw puzzle is USEUM, the social network of modern art. Didn’t it ever occur to you, how come there is a no-brainer social network for anything apart from art? For presentations we’ve got slidesahre, for photos we’ve got flickr for graphic design we’ve got deviant art, for videos vimeo. How come there isn’t a no-brainer network for artworks?Well this Is mainly because art, and modern art in particular is a field ruled by middle men and agents, and IP restrictions.USEUM’s challenge is to take advantage of new media i.e. crowd-sourcing, game mechanics, AR to bridge the gap between people who like art and people who make art.Isn’t it strange that there a no-brainersocial network for anything really, apart from artworks?
More than 2 masters courses on new media. We’ve specialised long enough on certain tools and technologies is time to zoom-out and look at the bigger picture.Firstly get our head around of all the tools that are out there and then make the most out of them by fitting the right pieces together making compositions that have meaning for the user.
