Texans will soon have access to a state-of-the-art, high-speed passenger rail system that will move people between two of our state’s economic powerhouses – North Texas and Houston – in less than 90 minutes. Unlike other high-speed rail projects around the country, this landmark project is uniquely Texan in that it is being built using a market-led approach and is being backed by private investors, not public funding. This project respects Texas values, advances the state and local economies, and keeps our state on track for future growth.
