the north of Australia.
The red Kangaroo is the largest
of all kangaroos. They live in
deserts and grasslands. They are
appreciated for their skin and
meat.

The Eastern grey Kangaroo is the

3. Habitat: forests, woodlands, grassy plains and savannas.
Food: grass and leaves. They are herbivores. They need
very little water.
Countries:
Australia,
Tasmania,
New
Guinea and surrounding islands .
Lifespan (period of existence): 6
to 8 years in the wild.
Offspring: Kangaroos have one
joey at a time. They live in their
female’s pouch almost for a year.
They are just the size of a grape
when they are born.
4. ABILITIES
•They can’t walk backwards.
•They can jump very high, sometimes three times their
own height.
•They can swim.
