What are the odds of getting back into the Navy?
I just turned 19. When I was 16 I had hernia surgery, and in March of this year I had emergency
appendicitis. I was in the Navy in August of 2011-Mid September. I was medically discharged
for tearing an abdominal muscle during intensive training. Since I have such a bad track record
of this area in my body they are not sure if I will be able to re-enlist ever. What are the chances
that I will be able to go back?
admin answers:
About zilch.
Ten bucks sez you have an RE3. That means you need a waiver to re enlist. PS are NOT
authorized waivers at this time.
The medical reason why you were discharged also will not be waived. If they had thought you
were salvageable, they would have put you on Med hold and Convalescent Leave.

Does working you core too much make you fat?
Hello. I life weights occasionally and work my core as well. I have a six pack right now but I was
wondering what happens if you keep wOrking out your abdominal muscles? Will those muscles
keep getting bigger and bigger? Will it give you a rock hard rounded stomach or what? Thanks
to anyone who can help!
admin answers:
Well, eventually, you keep exercising like that, it will not do a lot more than increase your risk of
a Hernia. As a former U.S Army Veteran, I would keep it slow, and when you get to your goal,
stop. Exercise a little less, to keep stress off yourself. But keep exercising.

Can constipation straining cause you to pull a muscle in your abdomen?
I have had constipation and have strained quite a lot last week. Well ever since when I walk I
feel my left abdomen seem to tighten and have pressure there. This settles down, only lasts a
few seconds when I get up from sitting but I want to know if constipation straining, if I pulled a
muscle down there is the cause why I feel my left abdomen tighten and pressure?
thanks
also I did feel my abdomen like pull out and in while pushing once?
admin answers:
You can push yourself into a hernia. Part of your abdominal muscle can breach into another
abdominal cavity. This is serious business. Don't strain too hard.

What is this weird, uncomfortable feeling in my groin?
I have a very strange uncomfortable feeling in my upper groin, right where it meets my
abdominal muscles and close to my genital area, I Havant aggravated it playing sport because
im in rehabilitation from a knee injury on the opposite leg, it kidney of feels like a bubble that
needs to be popped, PLEASE help
admin answers:
Your description sounds like a classic groin hernia.
The muscle tears a little usually while lifting or straining and sometimes a little bit of intestine
comes up through the tear under the skin - that's the lump you feel.
Only a doctor can fix it and it can get larger without intervention.
