Differentiated Instruction A process of developing tasks and experiences which are challenging, require creativity, and are not always alike for ALL learners Entails creating and extending lessons to meet the needs of each child in the classroom Instruction is varied to meet the abilities of all students to guarantee success Students draw upon prior knowledge and instruction is taken from this point in order to help students grow The focus is on different rates of learning to promote personal success Instruction is based on higher level thinking for each child’s ability Students may be working on different assignments than their classmates.
15. Homework Expectations Missing homework will result in a loss of a portion of recess time to give students an opportunity to complete the work needed to stay on track with their grade level. Chronic missing homework will result in notification of the parents and can be noted on the report card Late assignments will impact student’s ability to be successful in their learning and their ability to stay on pace with the class ***Please check the district policy on homework, available on the Live Oak and SRVUSD website if you have any questions
