Oakland Leaf's mission is to work in solidarity with Oakland youth, families, educators and organizations for individual, collective, structural and environmental transformation towards a more just, self-determining and sustainable society. They accomplish this through various educational and arts programs, as well as community events and internships. Oakland Leaf's core values include struggling for change and growth, showing love through commitment, cultivating sustainable community, viewing education as freedom, using art and culture to heal and transform, and working towards peace through nonviolent action. Their vision is to contribute to a more connected society by nurturing relationships through social justice, urban ecology, youth empowerment and the arts as a multi-generational community committed to staying in Oakland
