2. What is a miracle? When typing miracles into Google definitions we came up with many varied results: any amazing or wonderful occurrence a marvellous event manifesting a supernatural act of a divine agent It is when the impossible happens All of these definitions are true and Jesus himself preformed the unthinkable!

4. Some of jesus’ Miracles Jesus is reported in the Gospels as having: · Changed water into wine at the wedding feast In Cana · Fed a crowd of 5000 people using only a few small loaves and fishes · Calmed a violent storm · Walked on water · Raised people from the dead · Cured many people who were sick with normally incurable diseases and performed numerous exorcisms of evil spirits

5. Feeding the 5000 Luke 9:10-17 The apostles, when they had returned, told him what things they had done. He took them, and withdrew apart to a deserted place of a city called Bethsaida. But the multitudes, perceiving it, followed him. He welcomed them, and spoke to them of the Kingdom of God, and he cured those who needed healing. The day began to wear away; and the twelve came, and said to him, "Send the multitude away, that they may go into the surrounding villages and farms, and lodge, and get food, for we are here in a deserted place." But he said to them, "You give them something to eat." They said, "We have no more than five loaves and two fish, unless we should go and buy food for all these people."For they were about five thousand men. He said to his disciples, "Make them sit down in groups of about fifty each." They did so, and made them all sit down. He took the five loaves and the two fish, and looking up to the sky, he blessed them, and broke them, and gave them to the disciples to set before the multitude. They ate, and were all filled. They gathered up twelve baskets of broken pieces that were left over.

7. Such miracle stories tell of spectacular displays of power, but they are incidental rather than central to Jesus’ ministry. The Gospels do not portray Jesus as advertising himself or making personal capital be means of his marvelous deeds. On the contrary, Jesus acts with discretion and these sensational displays mostly occur away from large public gatherings.

9. Jesus is not self-serving in the use of his spiritual power; instead, he is moved with the compassion to be of service to other people. He even acknowledges that the faith of sick people themselves helps to bring about their cures. Jesus’ miracles weren’t just to demonstrate his powers of the son of god. Jesus was a miracle worker, he worked to help those in need and those who were suffering.

11. Changing water into wine Miracle (John 2:1-11)The first miracle of Jesus took place in the village of Cana, in Galilee. Jesus, His Mother Mary, and His disciples were quests at a wedding. The wine supply ran out, and through the urging of His Mother, Jesus had six water pots filled to the brim with water. He then had the master of ceremonies taste the water that was now wine. The master of ceremonies then called the bridegroom over and said to him, "Everyone serves the good wine first, and then the inferior wine after the quests have become drunk. But you have kept the good wine until now".
