I am fascinated by questions concerning the influence of business on broader society, specifically, on entrepreneurship, sustainability, international business and the role of multinational enterprises in emerging countries. How do businesses—corporations, small and medium enterprises (SMEs)—ostensibly arenas of private action, create outcomes such as social welfare? And how does the presence, absence, growth and (re-)emergence of these organisations in countries like China and Brazil impact host societies in terms of business and social sustainability? These are the questions that animate my research agenda in the fields of entrepreneurship, sustainability and international business.
