Med-Assess
• … is to support the superiors in a hospital or other medical
institution in recruitment tests for new employees.
So, Med-Assess
• … can be used for determining whether a foreign job
applicant holds similar knowledge and qualifications than
a local applicant, or he/she will need additional training to
fulfill the job related tasks.
• … will be also adapted and implemented for basic nurse
qualifications, neuroscience nurses and care givers
especially for the area of treating and caring patients with
spinal diseases.

• State of the art analysis of theoretical background and current
ontology based educational, selection and recruitment processes;
• A job-role (Information System Analyst) has been selected for
piloting and has been analysed both in the Netherlands and Italy;
• Competency profile of this job-role has been set up (72 technical
competences)
• Job-role and VET ontologies have been created
• O-net Ability Profiler for General Mental Ability tests has been
integrated, translated
• The OntoHR selection and training system has been set up (+200
knowledge elements, testbank)
• A mapping algorithm matches Job and VET competencies
(Workplace-Education matching)

12. Project Funding: NA-BiBB
• The National Agency at Federal Institute for Vocational Training (NA-BIBB)
has established since 2000
• It is working on behalf of and with funding from the Federal Ministry of
Education and Research (BMBF).
• NA-BiBB is one of the agencies in Germany to support the European
Lifelong Learning Programme (LLP, 2007-2013):
• Leonardo da Vinci for Vocational Education and Training (VET) and
• Grundtvig for adult education (continual VET)
• NA-BiBB is responsible to support:
• Study visits for VET professionals and experts
• Strategic Framework 2020
• European Language Label
• Europe-related special tasks
