New in EP4: The Capture portfolio has two products with updates this release; Captiva and Capture Center.
We have invested across four major areas to increase the value to our customers for OpenText’s capture portfolio and ensure that each of these products provide a true Intelligent Capture option. These four pillars are:
Capture Anywhere– We continue expand the ways that information-of any kind- is collected appropriately and securely. For both Captiva and Capture Center, we have invested in simplifying the user experience for Capture users both remote and mobile.
Automated and efficient - We have invested in upgrading recognition engines and expanding how Captiva and Capture center validate and route documents based on all of the data in captures.
Integrated and scalable We know that captured content doesn’t exist in a vacuum. The value of content is in the processes that the information enables. To that end we have enhanced and expanded the connectors and RESTful services that can pass metadata and documents between Capture and line-of-business applications-including OpenText products.
Centralized Administration- Enterprise Capture is complex, OpenText recognizes that administering Captiva and Capture Center needs not easy, centralized enterprises grade tools for managing users and documents with additional IT or vendor intervention.
Messaging Theme: Capture
[See each release highlight slide for details, this slide is a high-level portfolio level EP4 update]
Audience: Existing Customers or new prospects looking to optimize their digital transformation. Capture products can be added to Process suite or any of our Content Services products to reduce the barriers to digital transformation.
All documents, emails and attachments that you receive from customers and partners are important to many processes within your enterprise. Identifying and labeling all those documents at the time of capture is the key to process efficiency and automation is the challenge that your organization is facing today.
OpenText’s Capture portfolio addresses key information management challenges that could hold back your digital transformation. Both Captiva and Capture Center have updates in EP4.
New in EP4: We have invested across four major areas to increase the value to our customers for OpenText’s capture portfolio and ensure that each of these products provide a true Intelligent Capture option. These four pillars of intelligent capture are Distributed Capture, Advanced Recognition, Enterprise Processes and Deployment flexibility. Within each of these pillars we defined a key theme across our products.
Capture Anywhere– We continue expand the ways that information-of any kind- is collected appropriately and securely. This greatly reduces the blind spots into what kind of content is coming into your organization easing a key challenge in your enterprise information management strategy.
For both Captiva and Capture Center, we have invested in simplifying the user experience for Capture users both remote and mobile. This includes expanding the SDK and APIs so that capture can be embedded in mobile and web portals. A single Capture platform for any content, coming from any source.
Automated and efficient As more and more content needs to be captured the need to automation increases. We have invested in better recognition of; documents types, data in those documents and what to do with those documents. All of this captured data- and the documents- is automatically routed to the right system and the right person efficiently.
Integrated and scalable We know that captured content doesn’t exist in a vacuum. The value of content is in the processes that the information enables. To that end we have enhanced and expanded the connectors and RESTful services that can pass metadata and documents between Capture and line-of-business applications-including OpenText products. This allows for metadata that already exists to be assigned to new documents and move the documents and metadata into the right system for the appropriate enterprise process.
Centralized Administration- As our customers move to the cloud- whether as a managed service, or hybrid scenario, OpenText recognizes that administering Captiva and Capture Center needs to align so that enterprises can ensure that the user administration, deployment and security is managed properly.
