2. Project-Based Learning Project-Based Learning is used to meet students that learn all different ways and to accommodate each student’s learning needs. This project will help students find their own answers through research and help them communicate with other peers in their class. Also this project will help them feel comfortable talking in front of a classroom.
3. World War II Project Students will work in groups to make a timeline of the important events and people during World War II. They will present these in front of the class on a poster board.
4. Standards and Objectives Grade 9 S.S. Describe the events and important people during World War II. Objective: Students will be able to recall some of the major events during War World II. Activity: Students will get into groups and make a poster board of the major events that took place during World War II. Also students will need to include some important people of the time also. They will do this on a poster board which I will provide and they must present their timelines to the class.
5. Questions To Address Essential Question: How did World War II shape history? Unit Question: What were some of the events leading to the war? Unit Question: What were some of the key terms during the war? Content Question: Who were some important people during the war? Content Question: When did American intervene? Content Question: What were the years of World War II?
6. Parents and Students I am here to guide the students in helping them research about the events that went on during World War II. I am also going to provide some good books they can use as resources to help them get there timelines accurate. Parents please help your students through this process and talk with them about stories you have personally heard about War World II. Students should get a good understanding of the important people and events that took place. They should also be able to present this project in class as a group with all students contributing.
