Mandibular Lateral Incisors
 ~ central incisor but larger
 Wider and longer than central incisors
 Cingulum more developed than central incisors
 Root of mandibular lateral incisor is longer,
narrower and more tapered than that of the
central
 Less blunt at apex than mandibular central
 Mesial depression on lateral incisor only
 Distal longitudinal groove lateral incisor only

4. Mandibular Lateral Incisors
 From labial or lingual aspect, incisal outline
slopes slightly toward distal, with a
resultant distoincisal angle which is more
rounded, as is distal margin of crown.
 Distal margin is also a little shorter.
 Cingulum and marginal ridges are usually a
little larger, and lingual fossa is a little
deeper.

5. Mandibular Lateral Incisors
 From incisal, crown is not quite
symmetrical like the central, since cingulum
bulges toward distal
 Root may present a distal curvature in its
apical third & has a distal longitudinal
groove
