SKILL DEVELOPMENT

The skill development is an effort to increase or improve the skills
that students have so that they can be better in think, do, and plan
something. To develop the skill of students (cognitive, affective, and
psychomotor), we can do the activities below :

Activity 1:

Proving that the volume of cone is equal to one third of the volume of
cylinder.

   a. Cognitive aspect :
Remembering the formula tofind the volume of a cone and
            understand how to use it.
Remembering the formula tofind the volume of a cylinder and
            understand how to use it.
Comparing the formula of a cone to the formula of a cylinder.
Finding the the volume of cone correctly using mathematical
            counting.
   b. Affective aspect :

Teaching and learning process is student-centered, and
students are given the chance to asses themselves to find the
   character.

In teaching and learning process, students learn how to be
trusted, such as : honest, commit with purpose, perform a
given task, become a good friend and help each other
In teaching and learning process, students learn how to
appreciate, such as : students treat their friends and teacher
well, polite and respectful, sympathy, not insult or ridicule
their friends or teacher, and not embarrass their friends or
          teacher
In teaching and learning process, students learn how to
responsible themselves, such as : do their task, reliable or
trustworthy, never make excuses or blame others for his
          actions
In teaching and learning process, students learn how to
responsible in their social, such as : do their group task, help
          their friends or teacher sincerely
In teaching and learning process, students learn how to be
fair, such as : never be unfair, not cheat , obey the rules,
          etc.
In teaching and learning process, students learn how to care
with others, such as : help friends who need help.
   c. Psychomotor aspect :
Preparing the props ( a cone, a cylinder, sand or water).
          Pouring the sand or water.

Activity 2:

Drawing a trigonometric function.
a. Cognitive aspect :
Understanding the basic concept of trigonometry.
Understanding the rectangular coordinate system (cartesian).
Finding the trigonometric values by using the trigonometric
       value of special angles (0⁰,30⁰,45⁰,60⁰,90⁰).
Finding the trigonometric values of related angles (out of
quadrant 1) by using the existing formula of related angles

       (180⁰ - α ,180⁰ + α,360⁰-α).

Drawing the graphic of given function in cartesian coordinate
by using the trigonometric value they’ve found before.
b. Affective aspect :

Teaching and learning process is student-centered, and
students are given the chance to asses themselves to find the
character.

In teaching and learning process, students learn how to be
careful, such as : using scale for draw the graph, using smooth
pencil to draw graph well and don’t forget to give name of
       graph (function)
In teaching and learning process, students learn how to be
trusted, such as : honest, commit with purpose, perform a
given task, become a good friend and help each other
In teaching and learning process, students learn how to
appreciate, such as : students treat their friends and teacher
well, polite and respectful, sympathy, not insult or ridicule
their friends or teacher, and not embarrass their friends or
       teacher
In teaching and learning process, students learn how to
responsible themselves, such as : do their task, reliable or
trustworthy, never make excuses or blame others for his
      actions
In teaching and learning process, students learn how to be
fair, such as : never be unfair, not cheat , obey the rules,
      etc.
In teaching and learning process, students learn how to care
with others, such as : help friends who need help.

c. Psychomotor aspect :
Deciding the scale of cartecius coordinate.
Writing the angles in x-axis and the trigonometric value in y-
      axis.
Match points from each angles that represent the
      trigonometric value.
Connect the points by curved line.
