Exercise 1
Configure Office Forms Server 2007
Scenario
This lab will help familiarize you with administering the enterprise features of Microsoft Office SharePoint Server
2007 – Forms Server and Excel Services.
Tasks Detailed Steps
Complete the following a. Login using the following credentials:

1. Login and Open IE b. Wait for the Warmup Script to complete and the popup window to close.
c. Open Internet Explorer and wait for the portal homepage to load.

3. View the Upload a. In the InfoPath Forms Services section, click Upload forms template
forms template b. In the Deploy Form Template, note that you can browse to a InfoPath Form
screen template (.xsn) file to upload. You can validate that the form template is acceptable
to be uploaded to the server by clicking the Verify button. For example, you can
see if a form has been correctly published to be browser-enabled.
Note: With Office Forms Server, form templates (.xsn files) created in InfoPath 2007
design mode can be converted into Web-enabled form templates that run through
SharePoint.
Note: The administrator deploys form templates that contain business logic. These
form templates contain a compiled, managed code DLL or require full trust. To deploy
a form template to users, you must complete upload it and activate it.
c. In the Upgrade section, note that you can have the Office Forms Server update
existing form templates with changes. You can also enable users currently filling
out a form to continue to use the previous (existing) browser-based form until they
finish the process or terminate those sessions immediately.
d. Click Cancel

SQL server, a SharePoint list, or many other varieties of data sources.
e. These files once uploaded give the Forms server access to these data sources to
draw data into the Forms themselves.

Complete the following a. Click on the Application Management link and look at the Office SharePoint

location.
f. Hover over http://moss.litwareinc.com in the Address list.
Note that you can either Edit or Delete the trusted file
location.
Select Edit. You can also edit the entry by clicking on it
directly.

that can be opened by Excel Services. In addition, the trust level for external data
sources is set here.

Note: You can also set the calculation behavior for how frequently Excel Calculation
Services computes formulae (file, manual, automatic or automatic except data tables).
Note that all of the settings except the File setting override the workbook settings.
Administrators can lock down whether user-defined functions can be called from
workbooks in this trusted location.
d. Click Cancel at the bottom of the screen to exit. Click SharedServices1 in the
upper left to continue.

library, go back to the SharePoint Central Administration site, and click
