Here the final results of this international forum on new kinds of leadership
By mid-July it will be possible to access the articles on the website www.g-casa.com.
Milan, June, 13th 2014 – The proceedings of the conference sponsored by Chinese American
Scholars Association have been completed.
Speakers from Asia, Europe and the Americas have shared in-depth theories and practices of
management in order to train tomorrow's leaders in fields of business, education and society.
Donald Hsu, President of C.A.S.A. and Gianni Degli Antoni, Professor Emeritus and "founding father"
of the Faculty of Computer Science in Milan, closed the conference, providing a valuable summary of
the social and cultural phenomena in which we are a bit victim and a bit maker.
Are 35 the papers presented during three days of activities. Massive the presence of women (24).
The presence of entrepreneurs and professionals remained below expectations (only 6 business
people present - 5 women - and only 3 Italians).
<<During this Milan’s edition - sums Paola De Vecchi Galbiati, an Italian member of CASA -
eLeader Conference pointed out international interest in Small and Medium Enterprises by
providing them practical solutions to develop their soft skills, i.e. those qualities and interpersonal
skills that can be taught and learned, like any other discipline or profession.
Train these skills, means acquiring different approaches to problem solving and cooperation. SMEs
can reap considerable benefits from these innovations.>>
<<This kind of events are imbued with scientific rigor, and this, of course, does not attract a lot of
people, but - says De Vecchi Galbiati - we believe this step is necessary to give a solid base to new
approaches. We intend to expand our proposal: CEOs, HR managers, CIOs and CMOs through
these events can learn information about what is going on at the international level in organization,
technology, social sciences and economics.>>
She concludes: <<The next step will be to simplify our content management system, in order to
make it more interesting and attractive to market we serve: SMEs. It is through cultural
contamination and cross-fertilization that we arise the most innovative ideas and disruptive ones.>>

E-Leader Conference 2014 - Milan, June 2014 – Summary
(issued by Paola De Vecchi Galbiati)
To facilitate the contents’ analysis of eLeader Conference 2014 in Milan, we tried to classify the

The summaries produced by the various speakers are referred to studies, researches or experiments
made around the world: most represented universities and businesses was from United States, with
over 10 papers, followed from Italy, Czech Republic, UK, Slovenia and Singapore.
Among the young scientists, I mention the work of Barbara Grah (PhD in Economics, University of
Ljubljana) on “Neuro-Leadership and integrative learning”: an interesting perspective on how
organizations can implement a cultural ecosystem through a collaborative approach to problem
solving.
Among the entrepreneurs, I report Melonie Karen Gould, business woman, mentor and sponsor of
many innovative companies, who presented her research and organizational framework “Happy
Enterpreneur mind set”, a useful help to those who want to reshape their own way of doing business
in this time of disrupting changes.
The rapid evolution of digital world is producing innovations not only in the field of products and
services, but also in the systems of reference we use to learn and to interact with the world around
us. In a recursive way, we refine our knowledge and in parallel, we are changing also the vision of
the world and the actions we can do in order to be a part of it.
