A brief presentation to the UK & Ireland association for heritage interpretation in 2015 that aimed to explain the dark art of i-beacons to the delegates without any mention of our products.
6. Beacons are discrete, low powered and low
cost transmitters that you can attach to a
location or object. Beacons broadcast tiny
radio signals that contain a unique identifier
which your smartphone or tablet can receive
and interpret, if an app on the device
recognises the unique identifier this can
trigger an “event”.
The Geosho Platform puts “location” at the heart of modern consumer technology, empowering organisations and businesses to do almost anything they want with data and information that is better understood when visualized or analysed in the context of a map or its location or its movement
Beacon is a protocol standardized by Apple and introduced at the Apple Worldwide Developers Conference in 2013.[1] Various vendors have since made iBeacon-compatible hardware transmitters - typically called beacons- a class of Bluetooth low energy (LE) devices that broadcast their identifier to nearby portable electronic devices. The technology enables smartphones, tablets and other devices to perform actions when in close proximity to an iBeacon
Thank you for giving our company this opportunity. This presentation is going to cover two things.. Our view on collaboration and us, who we are and what we do.. Nothing technical, I promise
Finally… I will try my best to describe how we collaborate digitally, how we work with others, who we work with and why and how we sell and market to others .
