2.  Bluetooth is a wireless technology used to
transfer data between different electronic
devices. The distance of data transmission is
small in comparison to other modes of wireless
communication. This technology eradicates the
use of cords, cables, adapters and permits the
electronic devices to communicate wirelessly
among each other.
 Bluetooth is a high-speed, low-power microwave
wireless link technology, designed to connect
phones, laptops, PDAs and other portable
equipment together with little or no work by the
user.

4.  Invented in 1994, by a Swedish company
 The name "Bluetooth" comes from the 10th
century Danish King Harald Blåtand or Harold
Bluetooth in English.
 In 1998, it was promoted by Ericsson, Intel,
Nokia, Toshiba and IBM.
 Came together to form the Bluetooth Special
Interest Group (SIG)
 Further SIG member improved the device to
interconnect the world.
