Please pray…
t for Patty Cloud, Sharon Amundsen’s mother, who
had surgery last Wednesday to remove a large
tumor. She was diagnosed with Stage 1 or 2 ovarian
or colon cancer and will begin chemo soon.
t for Phyllis Mars who had her 4/20 back surgery
canceled due to the discovery of a heart issue that
needed to be checked out before surgery. She met
with a heart specialist and it is nothing serious and
can be cleared up with meds so she is waiting for a
new date for her back surgery.
t for Fay Griffin who still has severe back pain and
was told the discs in her back will heal eventually;
t for Al Tennant as he still struggles with dizziness
and no diagnosis for the problem and that Ginny’s
recent surgery will be successful in totally
eliminating her eye pain and pressure;
t for the homebound in our church including:
Mary Carmichael & Kay Everett;
t for our Prayer Families of the week: Larry &
Angie Rees, Ray Reidsma, Doug Reyers, Randy, Beth,

Dear Parkside Bible Church, Thank you for your prayers for us as Dave had a very complicated
back surgery on 4/15 to remove a tumor from two discs on his spine. Your prayers were felt as
we went through this very difficult time with peace and confidence that could only come from
God. We are blessed to be a part of such a caring and prayerful church family and as a church
we are also extremely blessed to have Pastor Gary and Sue with us. They traveled 3 1/2 hours
each way to be with us before and during surgery. What a comfort they were! Thank you to
those who filled in for me in the office-you’re the best! Dave has more trials ahead as he is
scheduled to begin both chemo and radiation soon. Your prayers are always welcome and

2. WEDNESDAY EVENING BIBLE STUDY Harold Kimbel will continue leading the study, “The
Book of Daniel” on Wednesday evenings from 7:00-8:00 p.m. Plan to join the group!
CHURCH YARD CLEAN-UP DAY! Thank you to all who helped with the yard cleanup
yesterday! A second cleanup day with mulch spreading will be held this Saturday,
starting at 9:00 a.m. If you can help out, please bring rakes, shovels, pitch forks and
wheel barrows. Refreshments will be served. For more information, see Rex DeBoer.
MARRIED COUPLES RETREAT THIS WEEKEND Pastor Gary and Sue invite the young
married couples (married 12 years or less) to a weekend retreat for fellowship and
encouragement this Friday and Saturday. If you are interested or need more
information, contact Sue Spykerman at spykermansusan@yahoo.com or call Sue at
616-294-1447 to reserve a spot for you and your spouse. There is a limited number of
beds so it’s first come, first serve. Leave the children with the grandparents or friends
and join us for a fun weekend away. The cabin is up north about 2 hours away!
DINNER WITH THE SPYKERMAN’S If you haven’t signed up yet to have dinner at the
Spykerman’s, sign up sheets are available at the Welcome Center. Those on the
overflow sheets will be contacted in the coming weeks with available dates. Their

CREATION SUNDAY SCHOOL CLASS Ken Kruis and Pastor Matt are leading a study on
Creation for all youth and adults which is being held during the Sunday School hour
