BLAST Youth Group for 6th-12th grade will be meeting tonight at 6:00 p.m. Please

Parkside Bible Club for kids age 4 through 5th grade meets every Sunday evening
from 6:00-7:30 p.m. The children grow in their faith through learning about the Bible,

ADULT CHRISTMAS CHOIR INFORMATION
Christmas is coming and we are going to celebrate this year by putting
together a choir for high school and up to sing on Sunday, December 16.
Rehearsals will be held on Tuesday evenings at 7:00 p.m. starting
October 23. If you are interested in being part of the choir, you can
sign up at the Welcome Center or talk to Allyssa Thompson.

Parkside will be hosting a bridal shower for Alli Kortman (engaged

WOMEN’S BIBLE STUDY There will be no Women’s Bible Study this Thursday due to the

simple card and board games and treats. This is a great way to get to know other women

SECRET HEART SISTERS DRAW! If you signed up to be a Secret Heart Sister for the
coming year, please attend a very brief meeting next Sunday in the board room immediately
following the service. You will be drawing names for your SHS. If you haven’t signed up yet
but are interested or have questions, please contact Cheryl Tooke or Sue Spykerman this
week. Secret Heart Sisters is a ministry of prayer and encouragement for the women of
Parkside. Each participant prays for another woman and sends periodic notes of
encouragement and small gifts to her over the course of the year.

ANNUAL MEETING TOMORROW NIGHT AT 7:00 PM
All members are strongly encouraged to attend our annual meeting as we
must have a quorum to approve the 2019 budget and elect our new board
members. If you are a member and absolutely cannot be present for the
meeting, you can obtain an absentee ballot from deacons Ted Van Deusen
or Ben Van Enk or from Judy Timmer TODAY. No absentee ballots will be
given out tomorrow. Pease pick up a copy of our Annual Report from the table
in the Fellowship Hall. Our proposed board members and proposed budget
are in the packet. (Everyone who is a regular at Parkside is invited to attend
this meeting and pick up a packet.)
3. SPECIAL SUPER SENIOR EVENT OPEN TO ALL!
With Fall approaching, Super Seniors has returned to their once a month
schedule. The next meeting will be held at 10:30 a.m. on October 24th in
the Fellowship Area. This event is open to everyone-not just the Seniors!
This Mid-Term Election meeting will feature our guest speaker
Jay Riemersma who will discuss the importance of Christian citizenship, why it is
important for Christians to vote and make their voice heard and most importantly, he
will encourage our members to stay engaged from a Christian world view. A soup
and sandwich lunch will follow—please RSVP at the Welcome Center. If you have

Parkside Christmas Play Meeting
If you are interested in being part of our 2018 Christmas
Play, "The Littlest Angel," please attend a meeting next
Sunday, October 14, at 12:15 p.m. in the Youth Room. We
will be going over the play and parts needed. Lunch will be
provided. The play will be presented on December 9th
during the morning service and offers numerous opportuni-
ties for all ages from Nursery through Senior High. For
