How to Design the Perfect Garden Office

When I say ‘Garden Office’ I don’t mean an office in a garden…actually quite the opposite. Have you
ever considered having a garden in an office? No, seriously.

These days, a professional office environment is considered to be slightly different. Formal furniture and
boring board rooms have taken a backseat to the newest craze in the office world – creativity. Go into
any of the major companies in the world and you won’t see a single wall that doesn’t look exciting and
unique. Take Facebook for example, their Office fit out London is filled with funky furniture, DJ decks,
and a space outside for skating. Google have mastered the indoor/outdoor effect by having grasscovered offices with picnic benches and flowery walls, cable-car Office Office Interiors
booths, and amazing rooms with vintage interior décor. RedBull have a slide in their head office! So you
see, even the wealthiest companies like to have a little fun.
So with this in mind, here are some awesome ways to create a garden-like environment within your
office.
1) Grass carpet. It’s not real grass but it looks just as good (but a lot less dirty) and it forms the basis for
any garden office.
2) Your furniture shouldn’t be typical board room furniture but something you’d find in a garden like a
table with some garden chairs, picnic benches, or outdoor sofas. If you do like the more formal
approach, you can buy some very chic and sophisticated looking pieces of garden furniture online or you
could just stick with the typical Glazed Partitions table and accessorise around it.
3) Picket fencing is so cool for lining the walls. It gives the effect of being surrounded by other gardens
and if you put up some sky-blue wallpaper, you’ll really get the effect going.
4) Accessories your garden office – buy a birdbath, a small shed as a storage cupboard, some fancy china
teacups and a cake stand for when clients come to visit.
Trust me, they will be so impressed with your unique approach to business meetings that they’ll have to
sign up with you!
