- 5. Disco duro -La capacidad se mide en gigabytes (GB). -La velocidad de giro se mide en revoluciones por minuto (RPM). -Capacidad de transmisión de datos que puede alcanzar transferencias de datos de 3 GB por segundo. -Capacidad de hasta 2 TB.
- 6. disquetera -Tienen dos tipos de formatos físicos: 5¼ y 3½ -Las reconoce el sistema operativo sin problemas. -Capacidad de hasta 200 MB.
- 7. Cd-rom y cd-rw CD-ROM: -Capacidad de hasta 700 MB. -Una de las características es la velocidad de lectura que se indica con un numero seguido de “x”. CD-RW: -La velocidad de lectura, de grabación y de regrabación. -Capacidad hasta 900 MB.
- 8. Dvd-rom y dvd-rw DVD-ROM: -Disponen de una salida de audio digital. -Capacidad de hasta 4,7 GB. -En lo demás es igual que el CD. DVD-RW: -Capacidad de 650 MB a 9 GB. -En lo demás es igual que el CD-RW.
- 9. Disco magneto-óptico -Admiten discos de gran capacidad: 230 MB, 640 Mb o 1,3 GB. -Son discos reescribibles, por ejemplo, para realizar copias de seguridad.
- 10. Tarjetas de memoria - Lee o escribe en soportes de memoria flash. - Son resistentes a los rasguños externos y al polvo.
