The expansion of telemedicine is bringing about a healthcare revolution. The events that took place in Yerevan, Armenia, last October marked the first annual Armenian International Congress and were a testament to the growing movement to use technology to bring superior healthcare to rural or isolated areas around the world. The response to natural disasters such as earthquakes and hurricanes are good examples of telemedicine’s potential effectiveness. Armenia, itself in an earthquake zone, has benefited directly from telemedical practices during its own recent history.
