Dr. Philip Levy specializes in leadership training, team building, and

Group. In 2007, Dr. Philip H. Levy won the Ernst & Young Entrepreneur of
the Year Award.
UNDERSTANDING CONFLICT
RESOLUTION
Conflict is a fundamental component of any professional or personal
relationship. It is even a natural part of a healthy relationship. It occurs
when differences arise between people, usually a contrast in
perceptions, values, ideas, or desires. Conflict has the ability to spark
intense emotions because at its base it brings about feelings of
insecurity, as well as the need to feel safe and valued.
UNDERSTANDING CONFLICT
RESOLUTION
Conflict resolution involves understanding more than just your
perspective. It is the capacity to respond to the needs of others in a
respectful and calm manner. Both parties must be willing to let go of
feelings of anger or resentment, and to pursue compromise.
UNDERSTANDING CONFLICT
RESOLUTION
We have the power to make conflict work either for or against us. If dealt
with incorrectly, it can be very detrimental to a relationship. If it is
managed in a respectful way, conflict can be very positive and can create a
stronger bond between any two people. Having healthy relationships with
the people in your life simply makes you happier.
