His work looks at American suburbia and in
particular industrial parks.
His photographs are concerned with ratios
and proportional systems (like architecture).
The compositions are a form of ‘minimalism’

25. Rut Blees Luxembourg
Born 1967 Germany
Based in London.
Her work is mostly taken at night using
ambient light only.
She uses a tripod and will leave the shutter
open for about 10 minutes. This has the
effect also of ‘erasing’ any passing people,
increasing the sense of space and ‘loneliness’
of the image.
