Agenda Review the four key areas of technology development. Review the data provided by the state and campus from 2007-2008. Reflect as a group to create an improvement plan to increase performance in the area of Teaching and Learning.
STar Chart by definition It is an online resource tool for self-assessment of your campus’ and district’s efforts to effectively integrate technology across the curriculum. It serves as the standard for assessing technology preparedness in Texas K-12 schools. The STaR chart is easily accessible.
What does it do? It produces a profile of your campus’ status toward reaching the goals of the Long Range Plan for Technology (LRPT) and No Child Left Behind.
STar Chart Four Key Areas  Teaching and Learning Educator Preparation and Development Leadership,  Administration, and Instructional Support Infrastructure for Technology
Teaching and Learning All learners have access to technology tools at all times. All learners use communication technologies to collaborate with diverse audiences, as well as research based strategies to improve academic achievement
Educator Preparation and Development All educators graduate and exit an educator preparation program knowing how to effectively apply current technology to the learning process. All educators develop new learning environments and ensure integration of appropriate technology throughout curriculum and construction
Leadership,  Administration, and Instructional Support All leaders develop, implement and budget for a dynamic technology plan and create innovative environments to maximize learning. All leaders provide opportunities staff development, use data effectively in decision making, and offer expanded curricular and instructional opportunities to students via technology.
Infrastructure for Technology This system provides access and assistance to support teaching and learning at all times. It measures all data to ensure its security and accuracy.

Continuous Work As a campus we must work together to ensure that all students are well- prepared for the real world of technology.
