15. The AvantEdge Team Stevie Heong - Managing Director B.Sc. Computer Science, University of Western Australia, Perth, Australia Before joining PKF Avant Edge, Stevie served as the Regional Head of Professional Services for Blue Coat, a NASDAQ listed US network security company, providing information security consulting and deployment to customers in Asia-Pacific. He has been in the IT field for 10 years and his experience includes managerial and global consulting positions in DHL IT and Siemens, where he had stints in Singapore, US, Austria, Germany and the Czech Republic. He has completed multiple technical certifications including Cisco Systems (CCNP, CCDP); Juniper Networks (JNCIA); Checkpoint Firewall (CCSE); Microsoft (MCSE, MCDBA) and Blue Coat Security (BCCPP). In addition, he also holds the internationally recognised security industry accreditation Certified Information System Security Professional (CISSP) and has completed certification on Information Technology Infrastructure Library (ITIL) Foundation. He is a member of the Malaysian Chapter of Information Systems Audit and Control Association (ISACA), and has completed the Certified in Governance of Enterprise IT (CGEIT) accreditation. Chan carries with him a wealth of IT and technical knowledge in his 20 plus years career. His experiences include managing the MIS group for Minolta and Ericsson; as the IT Group Manager in Hong Leong Group; as the head of infrastructure support for Prudential Asia and Head of IT for Great Eastern Life Assurance. He also served as the Head of IT for MAS data centre and program manager for Shell IT during his tenure in IBM Malaysia. Before joining PKF AvantEdge, he served as the regional program manager for Blue Coat Systems, a NASDAQ listed technology company and Gartner quadrant leader, specializing in network security and application acceleration. His responsibilities include managing the entire channel partner program in Hong Kong, Taiwan, China, Japan and Korea. He is a member of the Malaysian Chapter of Information Systems Audit and Control Association (ISACA), and is currently pursuing his Certified Information Security Auditor (CISA) .
