Pick the previous activity that you thought was the least effective and explain why it failed to help you feel connected to your instructor(s).Twitter - I like the idea of using it but we didn't use it much.Twitter since I had never used Twitter and I believe it is limiting to the number of charactersI will have to say the twitter stuff. I personally did not have much time to explore what benefit there could be in it.The Twitter activity was least effective I thought. I don't see how knowing what my instructor or other classmates are doing with their leisure time helps me learn.I hate twitter. I also thought that the weekly summaries of what the instructor did with her family did not help me to establish a connection with her. My interest in the instructor is primarily professional/intellectual. She has a lot of experience and knowledge in my area of interest. We're all in such different places outside of the classroom.twitter- ididnt sign up and use it.Again I'm picking 2 things and it's purely on my personality preferences or lack of preferences. I have never gotten into Twitter and it's never gained my interest at all so I didn't look at anything on Twitter. Also, I didn't feel the video announcements helped me to feel any more connected to my instructors. If there's important general information that I need, then I just like a quick email or written post. I get easily distracted and watching a 3-5 min video announcement I probably miss the main point initially and have to watch it again because I got distracted at some point. Again, these are just because of my personality type I think!Twitter was least effective because I did not participate.Twitter - I prefer not to use Twitter (no time to keep up with it in a timely manner)Although some of the twitter posts about learning opportunities seemed like great things to take part in, my full time schedule didn't allow me to take part in these activities.I was unfortunately too busy to get involved in the Twitter activity. I did sign up for an account, but since I was taking 2 classes and working full-time, I just was unable to find the time to read what others were writing. I do think Twitter could help with connecting to the instructor. One of my concerns with social networking is the lack of privacy. Knowing that my word are on the Internet, kills my freedom of expression. I will be job-hunting within the next 8-months and am very worried about Human Resources recruiters being able to read what I have written online for school.
