• A software for scholars and authors to use for recording and utilizing bibliographic citations[1]
Bibliography?
• A list of references
– What will probably be in the end of your article; a list of documents that you cited.
• Bibliographic Information: Information on the document such as author, title, format…and so on.
Citation?
• An indicator in your article that will inform that it is cited from somewhere else.

Setup
1. Download the SW from HEMOS>Software Library
2. UNZIP the .zip file, and run ENX7Inst. to setup
3. Choose additional features such as Output Styles
4. When Setup is done, Run the EndNote,
and Check where your ENDNOTE folder is created.
Before Installation, make sure…

• Check Search mode
– Local Library mode: Search Reference from Your local library
– Online Search mode: Search from Online DB
• Caution! Your search result will NOT be automatically saved.
– Integrated Library: Local Library Search+ Online Search
• Online Search result will be saved in ‘Unfiled’ Group
• Select Database
– Click ‘more’ for see other DBs
– You can also connect POSTECH Library Catalog!

Delete all the Terms before importing your term list
Term list needs to be applied for each Library

Cite While You Write
1. Manuscript Template Wizard
You can start with a Pre-defined template.
- EndNote Menu > Tools > [Manuscript Templates]
2. Insert Citation
EndNote MS Word
Insert Citation in your manuscript; Bibliography will automatically be generated, and changed when you
change output style, along with citation.
3. Edit Citation
[Edit & Manage Citations]: Delete or change order of multiple Citations and go to EndNote to change them.
4. Remove Field Codes
You better remove field codes of EndNote before submitting, unless it won’t look right on someone else’s PC.
SAVE AS before you remove the codes
- MS Word > EndNote X7 > [Convert to Plain Text]
