Who we are and what we do Practicology Conference 2017 For those of you who don’t already know Practicology we: ▶ Are a 55-strong team of consultants who’ve all worked in retail ▶ Work with retailers, consumer brands and their investors to help solve their digital challenges ▶ Have offices in London, Hong Kong, Melbourne and Sydney ▶ Serve clients around the world through a mixture of long-term retained engagements, project briefs and by filling interim roles
  • 4. We’ve delivered a Marketing Effectiveness Review for New Look to optimise its digital marketing spend, benchmark its agencies and ensure best practice is shared between its ecommerce and marketing teams
  • 5. We’re helping an online retailer to optimise its user experience and marketing for UK and international markets
  • 6. We’ve helped Rapha to determine that opening new stores does not cannibalise its online sales. In fact, those who shop online and in- store spend three times as much as online-only customers.
  • 7. We’ve helped a top 10 UK retailer to reorganise its commercial, marketing and omnichannel teams to create more customer-centric ways of working
  • 8. We’re supporting two global CPG clients as they develop their digital propositions. We’ve built operational and commercial plans, developed international ecommerce strategies and delivered bespoke training programmes.

Key differences between Asia and the West Practicology Conference 2017 Some of the key differences that impact our clients: ▶ Mobile commerce penetration is higher ▶ Social commerce is world-leading and incorporates different platforms from those used in the West, such as WeChat ▶ Marketplaces are still dominant (and discount driven) and require a strong forward-thinking partner to drive success ▶ Freedom of speech, and access to information isn’t always the same as in Western countries
  • 15. We’ve supported Pandora to develop its Asia Pacific digital strategy; launching online stores for markets including China and selling on Tmall
  • 16. We’re working with Skechers in China to formulate its digital strategy, select technology and become its online trading arm
