2. About MS -Teams
Microsoft Teams is the ultimate messaging app for your
organization—a workspace for real-time collaboration and
communication, meetings, file and app sharing, and even
the occasional emoji! All in one place, all in the open, all
accessible to everyone.
Here’s why you should use it:
• Rich chat with text, audio, video, and file sharing.
• Have a private chat to develop an idea, then share it
with the entire org.
• Store all your files, docs, and more in one place.
• Integrate your favorite apps—Planner, Trello, GitHub,
and many more.

4. Usage for the InternalTeams
MS Teams can be used throughout the organization,
however it is more useful where the team are working on
collaborative documents. Or have the tasks assigned for
shorter time periods which needs to be tracked and
managed without a Project Plan.
Three things which we cover
• Creation of Teams. Very basic on how we can create
teams and add members to it.
• Allocate tasks and track
• Share documents and edit at the same time
• Create MOMs and automatic sharing it with Authors
identified
• Easy communication channel through ‘Conversations’
enabled through Mobile Apps
• Creation of Feedback forms and review responses

20. Comparison
Let’s see how we have been doing it and how it can be converted into Teams ecosystem
Before
• Document Sharing
• With Skype and Emails, the document shared needs to be
updated and merged again, if more then two people are
working on it
• Storage of such documents needs to be managed separately
• Task Management
• Random Allocation
• No pipeline allocation visible, if the resource is working with
multiple teams
• Meeting Notes
• Notes are not in a format
• MOMs can only be published by single person
• Multiple emails to track statuses
• Previous meeting MOM needs to be tracked in emails
After
• Teams Sharing and Editing
• Documents will be shared and edited on same window
• Online tools can be used
• Storing will be on same drive with single one drive
configured
• Planner
• Allocation of task with subtask defined, each subtask can be
defined to multiple people if required
• Visibility on calendar on due dates
• Resources can close the task as completed once done, thus
less reporting time
• One Note MOMs
• Sharing of MOMs through One Note
• Multiple Author Management
• Auto Sync with Outlook calendar 20
