• It was launched by Narendra Modi,on 30 Dec 2016.

• Immediate Money Transfer
• Allow to send/receive money to UPI payment addresses,non UPI based
accounts.
• Allows to check balance transactions history and change pin.
• Can be accessed on all platforms.
• Only Money transfer between account is done.
• Transactions are done without debit card,OTP number,CVV number or
grid number.

• The QRCode would be printed on a placard
at outlets for customer to scan and ppay.
6. Need for BharatQR
• The main reason for this is,it is ideal for small road side
merchants who find it tough to invest in point-of-sale
terminals for card payments.For them,BharatQR is an asset-
light and cheap payment solution.
• There is no need to invest on a terminal hardware,the
merchant just need a smart phone and a QR code printed
sticker to accept digital payments.
