History Part Deux The Cambridge Rules were the first set of known rules drawn up in 1848. The Cambridge rules, if you couldn’t tell by their name, were written at Trinity College in Cambridge. Centered on each endline is a goal which is 8 yards wide and 8 feet tall.
A team consists of 11 players (1 goalie and 10 outfield players)
Plays two continuous 45 minute periods.
Object of the game is to advance the ball forward and kick it in your opponents’ goal. ,[object Object]
No cherry-picking…offsides will be called.
There are more intricate rules applying to tackles.,[object Object]
