1. I know it sounds cliché when I say that the IAESTE
internship changed my life but it did. I interned at
Hoschule Merseburg (FH). My professor has not
only written recommendations for me which has
helped me get into a master’s programme at E.T.H.
Zurich now, but he also showed us a slice of
Germany and German research. To be exposed to
so many new ideas, cultures & viewpoints has
tremendously broadened my world view.

2. I pursued an internship at the University of
London through IAESTE IndiaMIT this summer. I
wish to thank the entire IAESTE IndiaMIT team
for their support and co-operation. This internship
was an amazing experience. Selected Interns in the
UK were invited to attend the 75th Anniversary of
the British Council; I received the opportunity of
meeting Prince Charles there. I was invited to
speak on behalf of all the incoming interns at the
IAESTE UK summer reception held at Imperial
College, London. It was a great experience.

3. STAR-DUNDEE Ltd. is a spin out company from
the Space Systems Research Group of the
University of Dundee. I liked the project assigned
to me though the job was quite challenging. .
Learning different cultures, languages, traditions
and understanding them has been one of the lovely
experiences I had. This has all come true due to
IAESTE India MIT. I like to thank IAESTE India
for providing me this opportunity. This experience
can’t be described in words, it needs to be felt.

4. I chose Croatia to gain cultural and technical
experience and honestly didn’t have very high
expectations in the beginning; but the more I
explored, the more I fell in love with the place.
IAESTE Croatia, my supervisor and my colleagues
at work were wonderful and helped me in every
way possible. I was introduced to much more
advanced instruments and the latest technology
and thus gained a lot of experience. I made friends
from the US, Switzerland, Spain to just name a
few. I thank IAESTE for this memorable

5. Summer of 2008: I shall always recall: two months,
one country, a thousand miles and madness, lots of it.
Unforgettable experiences in a beautiful country, miles
away from home in the Aegean. I got the golden
opportunity to pursue an international internship in
Greece. It was a great experience and has not only

improved my personality. IAESTE has changed the
way I look at myself and the way the world looks at me.

7. My internship through IAESTE was much more
than a mere industrial training; It was quite a
learning experience for me in terms of academics

knowledge in industry and mixing with people

10. Through IAESTE IndiaMIT, I had obtained a
position as a summer trainee at the Microwave
Devices Technology Team at Electronics and
Telecommunications Research Institute, the
largest government funded research institute in
Korea. The internship inculcated in me the ethics
of research and taught me what team work and
commitment is all about. IAESTE provided a
platform for global exposure and the best part of
being an IAESTE trainee is that it provides a
framework where students from different
nationalities converge.

11. The experience that I had with the IAESTE in both the
countries was good. But the experience I had with the
internship was amazing. Meeting new people, seeing
new places and being exposed to so many varied
experiences really helps one to think bigger and look
more towards the big picture. Especially as a student of
Architecture we should really learn to look at the world
like it were a global village which is shrinking and
bringing us closer day by day. This internship has
taught me a lot about my subject of architecture and
also about how to go about working and analysing a
problem. It was just like a very good dream which
ended too suddenly. I hope IAESTE India all the best

12. The internship was a wonderful experience, with many
new things to discover about the Greek ways. It was
wonderful time coupled with a good academics going
in the forefront. This really took me to new heights, the
hands on experience was something that I really
relished till the very last day I worked. My employers
was so flexible that they we able to accommodate a
student in the second year of study. The internship
really was a very good step in helping me decide what I
would like to see myself become in future. All that
mattered then was how much I had to offer and this
went a long way in representing my nation to a set of

National Technical University of Athens (NTUA),
Athens, Greece. IAESTE IndiaMIT really got this
internship going for me. I am forever indebted to

IAESTE IndiaMIT team really needs to be

17. I went for an internship to Bremo, Poland in the
summer of 2008 to an Italian company, a pioneer
in manufacturing Performance Brakes. I was
assisting in the designing machining systems
which were planned to be used extensively
throughout the plant. It was an experience once in
a life time. I would like to thank IAESTE from the
bottom of my heart for giving me this opportunity.
I would have never had the intellectual capability
to make it to the best company in the world for
Brake Systems at this age without a student body
organization like IAESTE IndiaMIT.
