5. Now You Have an Account… Now What?
First you need to focus on your business. You need to choose a profile
picture. This picture is going to represent you and your business. So take
pride! Make it your logo or something that is a serious representation of
your business.
Second, you need to go to edit and write a short biography of your
company. Maybe a little history and any proud moments that help you
stand out from your competition. There is also a space for a website, so I
suggest giving your direct link to your business. That way people have
easy access to your main website.
Lastly, you need to recognize who your customers are. Find a way for
them to recognize you. Start following others and have friends and
family follow you and help spread the word.

Badges are a great way to help promote your business on other websites. They come in a variety of sizes
and can be linked to whatever website you believe will be most beneficial.
1. Go to your profile and go to badges

3. Copy the code that is given to you in the box below
4. Paste it on your website or wherever you like!
7. Media Sharing
To help spread word of your business, you can pair up with
another media tool, like Facebook. If you already have a business
page on Facebook then it’s even easier. This is a great place to
post links to Instagram for new pictures, videos, customer
reviews or contests. It’s a great and easy way to reach out to
more people who may not use Instagram. This way you are able
to expand to your target audience. You can also use hashtags to
help connect with others.
8. How Often Should Your Audience Hear from You?
You don’t want your audience to get annoyed with you, so you don’t want to over post. You
should post 1-2 times a day. That way your audience doesn't just get used to your posts
and glance right over them. Also, don’t just post to post. This is your business we’re
talking about. Make sure what you put out there for everyone to see is worthy of their
time and makes you and your business look good!
9. What Should You Post?
When you post, don’t just post words. People will most likely keep scrolling
since there is nothing there to catch their attention. Make sure to post
pictures AND videos. When you post videos, make sure the quality is good and
that it somehow benefits your company. For example, you can post a video of one
of your customers giving a demonstration of your product or a review of someone
who has been using your product for a long time. Customers are more inclined to
buy your product if someone else has used it and given their opinion about it.

1. Make sure you know where your audience is and how to reach them
2. Keep them involved using interactive videos, contests, etc…
3. Don’t over post
4. Listen to your consumer’s feedback. They will make or break you.
