I. Idea description
The fake lemon tea problems have made many lemon tea shops came
under suspicion. By conducting survey and personal experiences, we have
made a course of action to solve this problem. It is not only about the
improvement in tea quality but also in other
complements like serving methods, appearance etc…
in order to reach the ultimate goal of fulfilling every
single need of customer beside the demand of
drinking a fresh tea.
II. The basis of the idea
1. How it’s made?
An online survey was spread to nearly 200 students from 16-22 of
ages in the basis of the fact that lemon tea is more and more popular to
the youngsters. Here are the results:

It can be seen that lemon tea shop is an
attractive place for people, and most of them go there
with their friends.
For the following multiple choices questions:

top answers were:

Some conclusions are figured out from the table above:
It is believed that lemon tea is the only
factor of a tea shop. But the truth is our
customers don’t concern much about the
tea. The purpose of going to a lemon tea
shop is not primarily for drinking tea but
actually for enjoying shops’ atmosphere,
relaxing and chatting with friends.

As many of them go to a tea shop just
because most of their friends go to that
shop. It becomes a new trend which is
fashionable for trying. In simply words, it
is called “the crowd effect”
“Hygiene problems” is the second popular.
Actually, it is found out that this
kind of problem includes shop hygiene, neighbor hygiene and
drink hygiene. An individual improvement on drink hygiene
cannot make any significant impact on people’s belief.
From the survey result, it can be recognized that not
only tea quality but also many other factors affect significantly to
the shop's revenue. Hence it is recommended that more
improvements should be made on them revenue of our tea shop.
Among these factors, the shop’s appearance
is the most easily one to be judged at the very first
sight. In addition, more than a half of the
participants agreed that a nice shop gives them a
higher level of belief in quality of tea even though
they have never tried it before.
So, our ideas of creating a comfortable place for friends, groups or
clubs to meet or chat are developed. However, rumors
about lemon tea quality is still a major problem.
There were 172 people know that lemon tea can be faked and here
are their replies:

Obviously, although their main purpose of going to a lemon tea shop
may not be to drinking tea, the fake tea problems still make lots of

damages to our business. 23% people won’t come anymore and 46%
people will reduce their lemon tea drink.
We suggested the following solutions: achieve
a certificate of hygiene, make the guests close to
the making progress and material, or even let them
do it by themselves. These solutions would improve
people believes in the quality, as all of them have
got more than 65% of the vote.
2. How we do it:
We would make a course of actions which would affect the business
directly and indirectly. Whereas belief-
improving solutions can bring back doubtful
customers and establish a good hygiene
standard, the shop-improving solutions can
attract new visitors, expand the business and
also, indirectly reduce the fake tea problems.
They are demonstrated in the two charts below.
We also estimated the percentage of customers
who would agree with the solutions.

III. Future costs and profits
1. These suggested solutions would create the following costs:
Rearrangement costs; which is spent for rearranging the current
preparing area and material display counter in order to make it
visible to all customers.
Purchasing stationery and equipment.
Decorating costs.
Security costs. We can deal with local parks for
less costs.
Costs to maintain a clear hygiene and to get
the certificate.
2. However, these actions will improve the revenue because of the
following reasons:
According to the survey, more than 40% people agreed a high cost
with high services. About 50% would pay a reasonable price for a
clean seat in tea shop. It means we can increase the price to reduce
the cost pressure.
In addition, there is an increase in the demand for places for
informal meetings among friends and formal meetings among clubs
or student organizations from both high school and universities.
A place with good conditions and a reasonable price is all they
need.
Youngsters are affected by “Crowd effect”. Once the group strategy
show good results, more people will come to us, profit would
increase and the rumors will be removed.
Attractive activities, views and style: the countryside view, funny
games, personal stickers and photos area.
