Donna asks…
What’s the best location to be at in Bangkok and Kuala Lumpur?
I’m going to Southeast Asia, specifically Thailand and Malaysia…as far as Bangkok and Kuala
Lumpur go, where’s the best place to pick a hotel at, one that’s centrally located and close to
bars, restaurants, shopping, and cultural sites? Does anybody have any recommendations on
nice hotels that aren’t too expensive? Also I’m going to Phuket too, any advice or
recommendations for that as well? And what’s the best way to find a cheap flight out of the
U.S.?

Depends and how near is near. There are lots of apartments on Jalan Genting Klang (google
map to see how far is it) but most of those who rent an apartment there are students who
usually live on a budget with no furniture. However, apartments at Jalan Genting Klang very
near to all food stalls, convenience shops, etc. It’s easy to travel to the hospital by buses that
are quite frequent but the jam can be horrible sometimes. You can get a personal room from
around RM200-300, depending on the size, furnished/unfurnished, etc etc.
Assuming you are not local, I don’t think it’s easy for you to get a room especially for 2 months
only. Anyway, good luck.
Other options:
1. Wangsa Maju (similar to Jalan Genting Klang, but with LRT station)
2. Taman Sri Rampai (similar but quieter than Jalan Genting Klang)
3. Jalan Ipoh
4. Titiwangsa (pricey and high end), but less congested.
5. Chow Kit

Mark asks…
Are there available hotel booths at Kuala Lumpur LCC Terminal?
I’m planning a short vacation in KL, Malaysia. I’ll be arriving at LCC Terminal. Are there many

hotels ing Kuala Lumpur?

5. Cuti-cuti Malaysia answers:
The airport booths will be for expensive hotels.
However the Concorde Inn, Kuala Lumpur Airport is
adjacent to the airport grounds. And has an airport
shuttle service. 3 star and from $55.
The 313 rooms provide the guest with such amenities as climate controls, personal safes,
satellite TV, minibars and beverage stations, and full baths.
It also has many fine facilities including a café, lounge, in-house restaurant, outdoor swimming
pool with sundeck, dry cleaning and laundry services, a fitness center, currency exchange,
business meeting rooms and services, and 24-hour reception
Donald asks…
Can anybody recommend me a cheapest hotel near airport in
Kuala lumpur malaysia?AND also tourist spots?

6. Cuti-cuti Malaysia answers:
Check this out http://www.tunehotel.com. However bear in mind this is a no frill hotel just like its
counterpart Air Asia which means the room is bare. You even need to purchase credit hours if
you want to use aircondioner. There is one in Kuala Lumpur city centre and another one near
LCCT airport. If you want really cheap hotels then you should go hunting for those shop house
hotels but be warned these small hotels are not clean in the sense that they are often used by
cheap prostitutes. If you just need to use the hotel to sleep, then Tune Hotel should be fine.
Book in advance and look out for promotional rate, sometimes you could get extremely cheap
rate.
As for tourist spots in the city, the most popular among tourists are the icon of Kuala Lumpur
which is the Petronas Twin Tower. To get a bird eye view of the city, go to KL Tower. For night
entertainment and shopping go to Bukit Bintang or Bangsar. Petaling Street is famous for street
shopping while nearby Central Market is for souveniers shopping. Going further from the city
center, you may visit Sunway Lagoon Resort ( water theme park ) or Genting Highlands (
highland resort ). If you like nature and yet near to the city, then visit KL Bird Park, KL Orchid
Park.
