Each student completes the sentence “I waste
time by” until time is called.
Pair up with another student and share your list.
Write down any new time wasters listed by your
partner.
Each pair joins another pair. Students share
their partner’s time wasters and write down
any new time wasters shared by group
members.
Each group chooses two time wasters to share
with the rest of the class.
Time begins now.
3. Step 1: Complete the weekly schedule.
Be as accurate as possible. Include your time
wasters (talking on the phone, watching tv, video
games).
4. Consider developing a “Desired” schedule
that reflects your values. Be realistic in the
amount of time you schedule for activities.

5. Review your weekly schedule, in groups-create
a list of all of the activities you identified in
your weekly schedule (studying, watching tv,
commuting, work, etc.)

placed in the chart
