variety of products but in relatively small quantities.

• Process calls for a variety of actions like timing,
counting, sequencing,
interlocking, material handling, loop control, advanced
regulatory controls, coordinated control, common
resources handling at different stages of batch thus
exhibiting the characteristics of both continuous as well as
discrete processes at different stages of the batch.

• Process flow can get changed as the batch progresses
and may not always
follow a very well defined path, based on the prevailing
process conditions.

• Plant consumes raw material in lots and produces the
output product in lots.

• Input raw material do not retain their individual identity
in the manufacturing process.

Visiontech Automation Pvt. Ltd. provide PLC controlled
DG/TG /GG Set Automation. In our control philosophy provision
is provided to select any generator as a lead generator. Basic
requirement of selection of generator as a lead generator is to
achieve the uniform running hours of all generators. The PLC
system tries three times to start the engine of lead generator.
In case the engine fails to start or does not achieve the requisite
speed within the predetermined time, PLC system declares the
fault in the engine of generator. In this event PLC automatically
selects next generator as the lead generator. The PLC system
automatically selects starting sequence of other generators on
the basis of the lead generator being selected by the operator.
After starting of engine of the lead generator, the PLC system
increases the speed of engine by regulating the governor to give
50 Hz +/- 1 % frequency. After exciter gets energized, output
voltage of the lead generator is controlled by regulating the
excitation of exciter. After voltage and frequency reaches the set
band, PLC issues close command to Neutral Grounding
Resistance Breaker / Contactor. This prevents fault level current
from flowing into the system. At any moment of time, only one
NGR Breaker is in the system to avoid any circulation current in
other alternators. Simultaneously the governor is also controlled
to maintain the 50 Hz +/- 1% frequency. Before issuing close
command to lead generator air circuit breaker, PLC checks that
ACB of any other generator is not in close position. Then PLC
system gives close command to lead generator ACB. The PLC
system tries two times with interval of 5 secs. to close the ACB.
Simultaneously , it also gives starting command to next
generator engine in queue. The speed, excitation, frequency and
voltage of incoming generator is controlled identically as per the
lead generator starting sequence described above, except
closing of ACB.
