Aims to support:
40h teaching programme in the field of European Union studies
90h teaching post with a specialisation in European Union studies
focal points of competence & knowledge on European Union subjects
Main activities:
- teaching in European integration studies embodied in an official curriculum,
- conduct, monitor and supervise research on EU subjects,
- organise and coordinate human and documentary resources related to European Union studies.
Expected impact:
more than a thousand of Modules and Chairs and 100 Centres of Excellence by the year 2020 and
reach out to more than 2.000.000 students and professional

Policy debate and exchanges
Aims to support:
enhance cooperation and promote results on high level research
explore different methodologies, promote discussion & reflection
Main activities:
- foster the exchange of knowledge and expertise with a view to mutually enhancing good
practices,
- enhance cooperation and create a knowledge exchange platform with public actors and the
Commission services on highly relevant EU subjects,
- development of academic content and tools for specific target groups,
- joint development of content and co-teaching

Aims to support:

This is my last slight on the selection results 2014 and it shows you the other countries which applied for Jean Monnet and those which were sucessful:
China, Canada and New Zealand were the most sucessful onces;
In total we received 44 applications form those countries and 15 projects were selected;

Societies, polities are in search of new forms of governance to address areas of life
characterized by new, complex realities and problems such as those of the economy and
the environment. This ‘governance’ approach, different from that of ‘government’, has
been dragging in renewing legal thinking and legal solutions. Its potential seems also to
bear optimization in the Asian context, where the EU experience may be much

SICHUAN project
This project aims to establish a team of teaching and research staff including young and
bilingual (Chinese and English) staff in the team, so that six courses and a series of
lectures on EU studies, including the European Integration studies, EU policy studies,
especially environmental policy with economics, will be offered at Sichuan University.
Meanwhile training courses and seminars / workshops for local government agencies,
industries, media and school may also be offered as value-added achievements for the
project.
