„ Whisper the calculation“
Teaching aims:
The pupils should be able to understand the instructions.
The pupils should be able to say the calculations correctly.
The pupils should be able to do the calculations.
Material:
small sheets of paper
pencil
calculations
Procedure:
The pupils play in pairs. Each pair has two chairs. One child can look to the board
and the other child has to look to the back of the class. The child who is looking
to the back of the class has a small piece of paper and a pencil. The teacher
writes a calculation on the board and the pupils who look to the board whisper
the calculation to their partner. He / She has to write it down und says the
answer. Each group does for example 4 calculations. Then the answers will be
corrected together. Then the pairs change roles.

Today we will do some calculations.
You will work in pairs.
Put two chairs together like this (shows it).
One of you has to look at the board, the other one has to look to the back of the
class.
Whisper the calculation to your partner. He/She will calculate and say the
result.
Let´s correct the answers.
