Rwanda has overcome many struggles throughout history. Even though things are a bit better now,
they still have a long way to go to reach all of their goals by the year 2015. Even though they have improved
in some goals, others aren’t going as well as they should. One of them is combating HIV/AIDS. Only 39% of the
population uses modern contraception and only 54% of them have the correct comprehensive knowledge
about HIV/AIDS. Another goal that they need to work on is in ensuring enviromental sustainability. More of the
population needs access to improved sanitation. Only about 8% have that access which is very low. People
can’t survive without clean water, it’s their main resource. Without sanitation more diseases can spread and
with more diseases there are even more deaths. It’s one of the main goals that need to be achieved because
it can affect the outcome of all the other goals.
