3. Hands on exercise
• Form 6-8 different groups.
• Each group member should be from different background or at least from
different colleges.
4. Design Problem
Design an ultimate personal organizer application which can
run on any medium like mobile, pc, cloud based web app,
smart watch or any medium.
5.
6.
7. step:1
Brainstorm opportunities, ideas,
medium and how do you want to
solve the design problem.
10
min
Think as many ideas you can and discuss with
your team. You can select any medium like
mobile, cloud app, wearable device, or an
object, etc.
Make sure you are selecting a problem worth
solving and you will come up with a best
solution.
8. step:2
Identifying the targeted users and
creating the personas.
10
min
Who is going to use the product?
What activities does user going to do?
What is the behavior of the user?
Wear the user show and visualize what could
be his goals.
9. “Personas are a representative behaviour and activity
profile that are contextual and specific to the particular
application or service.”
The are a powerful way to communicate knowledge, activities, interests,
influencers, goals and pain points
13. • behaviours
• needs / goals
• motivations
• peripheral influences
• personalities
• back stories, etc.
• photograph
• demographics
• issues
Create a persona for your design problem
Some questions to ask when creating a Persona:
What are their demographics?
What is their lifestyle?
What are their interests?
Who influences their product choices?
What are their personal goals?
What are they like from an emotional perspective?
What are their past behaviors?
Why do they interact with your company and your competitors?
What do they want from your company?
Where do they look for information about your product category?
What type of information do they want?
Where are they when they look for information?
14. step:3
Story creation and story mapping10
min
What is a story?
Do you see movies?
Do you read books?
Do you tell stories to your friends?
Brainstorm what your user (persona) going to
do with the product and create multiple
stories.
