The 5 days training program facilitated by trainers, administered
by APO and organised by CPC is found to be excellent team
work. The program inauguration was done by the President CPC.
APO stated the objective of the program and expected outcome.

The program was good mix of theory, role plays, group
discussions, Q&A Session including Site Visits.

ISO 26000 is the designation of the future International Standard giving guidance on social
responsibility (SR). It is intended for use by organizations of all types, in both public and private
sectors, in developed and developing countries. It will assist them in their efforts to operate in the
socially responsible manner that society increasingly demands

       recognized instruments
    3. Principle of recognition of stakeholders and concerns
    4. Principle of accountability
    5. Principle of transparency
    6. Principle of respect of fundamental human right
    7. Principle of respect for diversity

And 7 Elements

The program structure was in complete sprit and followed with

1.1 Class room Assignment: Participants were sub grouped in four numbers in order to involve

1.2 Country Presentation: Country presentations by the participants from respective one were
useful to understand specific approach and methods in different countries in Asia. It was
seen that multinational companies are leading in SR activities in countries like Pakistan,
Thailand etc. Where as in India Social Activities’ are from Vedic ages. However it is felt that a
structured approach of ISO2600O standard would be of great help in integrating the SR
       activities vis-à-vis business.

1.3 Presentation form World business Council: The information shared were quite a thought
provoking. The research study conducted by world economic forum and world business
council was presented and relevance to ISO26000 were well established. The presentation
backed up by data is found to useful and can be also a part of SR presentation to set the
       perspective right.

1.4 Industry Visit: CPC organised visits to the two leading organisations in Taiwan. It was
definitely a rare occasion and time to listen to them, see their facility and interact with
       them.
1.5 CPC arrangement and hosting: CPC is a perfect host. All the arrangement made were
excellent. CPC gesture towards the participants was also uncommon in providing good
logistics, excellent seminar facility, food, and welcome &farewell parties. The CPC staff is
       highly organised and professional.
1.6 Program review and Feedback: The program was well organised be it stay, logistics, lecture
delivery, schedule, assignment. This was a alive program. The program was full of learning,
fun and involvement of everyone. I must rate the program as excellent.

1.7 Participants view: All participants forged good ties with each other. It was also discussed
some time that SR Asia platform shall remain a networking point. Updating of SR activities
undertaken by the participants shall be uploaded on SR Asia. At the concluding session
everyone want to be SR professional. That talk about itself the motivation level we received.

1.8 Program Objective: The program objective was to motivate the participants and involve
them to fully so that at latter stage they would act as SR professional. To a great extent it
was visible by the involvement and commitment of the participants that the program
       attained its objective.

    2. Program execution:

Good planning is a essence to any success. It was evident on part of APO that it was a well thought

    3. Site visit

It was very welcoming efforts on the part of CPC to identify companies of world class repute. There
was opportunity to listen and share the SR Initiatives with the companies executives. The CSR
managers provided the overview of SR policy framework, including management structure and
reporting mechanism. The Company Executives shared data and reports through presentations, Visit
to the facilities and through QA Session.

The Companies also took us through their facilities to demonstrate the moment of truths.
Companies CSR Report is available on their website.

The CSR activities can be well mapped with the ISO26000 core issues.

The detailed data with respective to the above initiatives is available on company website.

Program Outcome:
The program resulted into meaningful output. Involvement of everybody with the commitment that
each one will present and share the learning with at least one company back in their country was
one of them. Individual also see SR as a career too. Continuous support from APO was also
motivating. Form my own understating I find this a wonderful program, well organised and perfectly
delivered.

Suggestion to NPC India for New Initiatives:
I must thank NPC India for providing such a opportunity. Also I am thankful to the APO for final
consideration. It was a wonderful learning and eye opener to me.

Since NPC India has nominated me for this program I am able to see a great future in the area of
Social Responsibility (SR) for the professional and organisation to adopt SR for all good reasons. With
the global trends and perspectives a report published by world economic forum, SR is imperative
and thus NPC India should take it as one of the area to focus on. NPC can plan seminar in this area,
and I am willing to share.

I am prepared to share my knowledge and expertise in this domain. NPC being a nodal agency can
promote and disseminate SR knowledge to its stake holders including the client base it serves. I shall
be happy to associate with NPC to promote SR.

Continuous support from APO was also motivating. Form my own understating I find this a wonderful program, well organised and perfectly delivered. Suggestion to NPC India for New Initiatives: I must thank NPC India for providing such a opportunity. Also I am thankful to the APO for final consideration. It was a wonderful learning and eye opener to me. Since NPC India has nominated me for this program I am able to see a great future in the area of Social Responsibility (SR) for the professional and organisation to adopt SR for all good reasons. With the global trends and perspectives a report published by world economic forum, SR is imperative and thus NPC India should take it as one of the area to focus on. NPC can plan seminar in this area, and I am willing to share. I am prepared to share my knowledge and expertise in this domain. NPC being a nodal agency can promote and disseminate SR knowledge to its stake holders including the client base it serves. I shall be happy to associate with NPC to promote SR.
