  1. 9 Holes – Great when you are dealing with a limited amount of time for your group. It can be a little more cost effective. A 9 hole event is also great for a tournament that is going to have a lot of beginning golfers. 18 Hole – Most Common Facility that you will find. Can do 9 or 18 Hole Events. Can accommodate up to 144 golfers 27 Hole – Forest Park and Tappawingo – 9 or 18 Hole Events. Accomodates up to 216 Golfers 36 Hole – Norwood, St. Albans, Whitmoor – 18 Hole Events, Up to 288 Golfers
  2. A Group in St. Charles County that is doing a fundraiser for a school probably won’t be looking to play at forest park. Same way as a group from the City isn’t going out to Innsbrook to play. Atmosphere is very important – Private Setting? Quiet Country Setting? Urban Setting.
  3. We typically see more charity groups playing in the spring and more organizational or company outings in the fall.
  4. Volunteers are always helpful as long as you have the right amount It is important to keep them busy and make them feel like they are helping and not just sitting around. They will help with a wide variety of things, stuffing goodie bags, registration, contest holes, 50/50, auction. Have a plan for them. Have a committee member designated to plan out what the volunteers need to do .
  5. Tournament Planners can be great but remember they do not guarantee you sponsors or players Event Planners are often paid in different ways One Time up Front Fee Up Front fee with commission Commission only
