2. COURSE DESCRIPTION
This course will offer an integrated
approach to spiritual formation and
leadership reflecting the importance
of establishing a strong devotional life
as foundation for functioning as a
leader in the Kingdom of God.
Initial focus will be on spiritual
formation, considering what is a
disciple, and how to practice spiritual
disciplines essential to living as, a
disciple of Jesus Christ.)

3. Attention will then move to the
area of Christian leadership
building upon the need for
foundational spiritual formation
(discipleship) in the life of the
leader - based upon the idea that
character precedes skill /
position in the life of a leader.A
biblical understanding of
leadership and its development
will be presented as well as
discussion of important
principles and some essential
practices.

Assignment 1 is compulsory and
will be assessed in 2 pop quizzes.
The student is to select one other

6. 2.Write a journal describing your growth as a
disciple.At six points during the semester (end of
week 1, 3, 5, 7, 9, 11) the student will be required to
write a reflective piece (250-300 words) on “what
God has been doing in their life”, how they have
been challenged to grow, corrections, personal
spiritual struggles,use and growth in spiritual
disciplines etc.
