Oracle Powers New 5G, Fiber and Digital
Services for Communications Industry
For second consecutive time, leading cyber insurers recognize Aruba security innovations
for the ability to reduce cyber risk for Zero Trust and SASE implementations.
New cloud native Order and Service Management helps accelerate service design and order fulfillment.
Aruba, a Hewlett Packard Enter-
prise company, has announced that
its ClearPass family of identity-based
access control security solutions has
been recognized for its ability to re-
duce risk by insurers in the Cyber Cat-
alystSM program created by Marsh, a

MarshSM is a cybersecurity evaluation
program in which participating insur-
ers independently evaluate cybersecu-
rity products and solutions to identify
those that they believe have the ability
to reduce cyber risk.
Developed with the goal of helping or-
ganizations make informed decisions
about cybersecurity products, the Cy-

Fujitsu Amps up Behavior Recognition
Tech with Deep Learning
By leveraging this technology, Fujitsu
aims to contribute to significant im-
provements in public safety and in the
workplace, helping to deliver on the
promise of a safer and more secure so-
ciety for all.
With time series behavior-recognition
technology developed by Fujitsu Labs,
the company has successfully realized
highly-accurate image recognition
using a deep learning model that can
operate with high-accuracy even for
complex behaviors in which multiple
joints change in conjunction with each
other, such as removing objects from a
box during unpacking.
Complex movements like unpacking
involve hand, elbow, and shoulder
joints moving in tandem with the
arm bending and stretching. Fujitsu
has developed a new AI model for
a graph convolutional neural net-
works that performs convolution
operation of the graph structure by
adopting a graph consisting of edges
Fujitsu Laboratories has announced
the development of a technology that
utilizes deep learning to recognize the
positions and connections of adjacent
joints in complex movements or be-
havior in which multiple joints move
in tandem. This makes it possible to
achievegreateraccuracyinrecognizing,
for instance, when a person performs a
task like removing objects from a box.
This technology successfully achieved
the world’s highest accuracy against
the world standard benchmark in the
field of behavior recognition, with sig-
nificant gains over the results achieved
using conventional technologies, which
don’t make use of information on
neighboring joints.
Fujitsu aims to contribute to significant improvements in public safety and in the workplace by
leveraging the new tech to perform checks of manufacturing procedures or unsafe behavior.
according to procedure, the product
can reduce the need for manual in-

in labor saving.
In addition, data integration and data
sharing with existing business systems
can be performed on this product, with
an application that collects data from a
PLC and other on-site devices, images
of the on-site environment, and data
related to power voltage, vibration,
temperature and relative humidity.
These enable rapid identification of the
affected range in the event of defects,

Hitachi Launches Industrial Edge
Computer CE Series Embedded AI model
Intel’s OpenVINO toolkit is pre-in-
stalled on the image analysis execution
platform of this product to leverage AI
and deep learning. By using a variety of
pre-trained models that are optimized
via the OpenVINO toolkit on the CPU,
the detection of objects, estimation
of structures, and other solutions us-
ing AI functionality that could not be
achieved by conventional embedded
devices can be easily performed. With
itsthermaldesignthatencompassesIn-

of Hitachi’s information and control
systems, the product achieves a fanless,
slitness, and spindleless structure that
can also be installed in harsh environ-
ments, such as manufacturing sites.
The new model contributes to the digital transformation of customers through the fusion of
Intel’s AI technology and Hitachi’s highly reliable design and manufacturing technologies.
connecting adjacent joints based on
the structure of the human body with
the joint position as a node (Vertex).
By training this model in advance us-
ing the time series data of joints, the
connection strength (Weight) with
neighboring joints can be optimized,
and effective connection relationships
for behavior recognition can be ac-
quired. With conventional technol-
ogies, it was necessary to accurately
grasp the individual characteristics of
each joint. With an AI model that has
already been trained, the combined
features of the adjacent joints that
are linked can be extracted, making
it possible to achieve highly-accurate
recognition for complex movements.
This technology was evaluated against
the world standard benchmark in the
field of behavior recognition using
skeleton data, and in the case of simple
behaviors such as standing and sitting
in the open data set, the accuracy rate
was maintained at the same level as
that of conventional technology that
does not use information on neigh-
boring joints. In the case of complex
behaviors like a person unpacking a
box or throwing an object, however,
the accuracy rate improved greatly,
to achieve an overall improvement of
more than 7% over the conventional
alternative to reach the world’s highest
recognition accuracy.

Palo Alto Networks Expands
IoT Security to Healthcare
Solution uses machine learning, crowd-sourced telemetry and MDS2
data to quickly and accurately profile devices and stop threats.
while offering deep insights on health-
care-specific devices and vulnerabili-
ties. This helps improve data security
and patient safety while meeting the
needs of both IT teams and biomedi-
cal engineering teams.
While IoT has opened the door for
innovative new services across indus-
tries, it also presents new cyberse-
curity risks. This is particularly true
in healthcare. According to a recent
report from Unit 42, 83% of medical
imaging devices are running on un-
supported operating systems, making
them potential avenues for attackers.
Attacks on medical devices like these
can potentially disrupt the quality of
care and allow attackers to steal pa-

Palo Alto Networks IoT Security is
designed to ensure Healthcare Deliv-
ery Organizations (HDOs) can realize
the benefits of IoT for patient care —
without sacrificing security. It is the
industry’s only solution to use ma-

those never seen before. IoT Security
also offers ML-powered policy recom-
mendations to reduce manual effort;
intrusion prevention to block exploits;
sandboxing to detect and prevent IoT
malware; and URL and DNS security
to stop IoT attacks via the web.
“The Internet of Medical Things has
the potential to improve healthcare,
save lives, and bring massive savings.
But if not properly secured, these
same devices can pose huge risks,” said
Anand Oswal, Senior Vice President
and General Manager, Firewall as a

get the maximum benefits from this
transformative technology while re-
