Hewlett Packard Enterprise (HPE) announced
year over year market share and revenue
growth in enterprise storage during the second
quarter of 2019, according to the IDC World-
wide Quarterly Enterprise Storage Systems
Tracker.
HPE and New H3C’s 1.5 percent market share
gain and 13.5 percent revenue growth stands
out amidst a market that declined .8 percent
overall1, and in which the other two vendors
in the top three – Dell and NetApp – posted
year over year declines.
In addition, according to IDC, HPE and New
H3C grew revenue 22.7 percent and gained
2.8 points of market share in all flash array, a
strategic storage market for customers.
“HPE and New H3C’s share gains and strong
performance stand in stark contrast to the
overall market, and are another indication of
the accelerating momentum in the HPE stor-
age business,” said Milan Shetti, SVP and
General Manager, HPE Storage.
HPE maintains a strong presence in China
through a unique partnership with New H3C,
in which HPE owns a 49 percent stake and the
Chinese company Unisplendour Corporation
owns a 51 percent share. This structure en-
ables HPE to participate in the fastest-grow-

sale of products to New H3C for resale in the
China market.

CrowdStrike, a leader in cloud-delivered end-
point protection, today announced that Forrester
Research, Inc. named CrowdStrike as a Leader in
the The Forrester Wave: Endpoint Security Suites
(ESS), Q3 2019 report. CrowdStrike received
the highest ranking of all vendors in the Strategy
category and achieved the highest scores possible
within 17 of the criteria. According to the report,
“CrowdStrike has the most fully featured end-
point security suite with an EDR lineage.”
As today’s security leaders look to integrate
threat prevention, detection and response in the
increasingly complex threat landscape, it’s criti-
cal that solutions extend visibility and offer flex-
ibility in a variety of changing IT environments.
As such, Forrester’s research assessed vendors
on a weighted scale that ranks capabilities across
multiple categories, with a score of “5.0” being
the highest. CrowdStrike Falcon received a 5.0
across 13 of the 19 criteria within the Current Of-
fering category.
“Being named a leader in the Forrester Wave for
ESS, as well as being ranked highest in the Strat-
egy category clearly demonstrates, in our opin-
ion, that CrowdStrike is leading the market in
defining next-generation endpoint security,” said
Dmitri Alperovitch, chief technology officer and
co-founder of CrowdStrike. “Legacy and newer
security vendors are being disrupted by Crowd-
Strike because of their inability to make the nec-
and tools while benefitting from the security and
performance of Oracle Cloud Infrastructure.”
“VMware is delighted that for the first time, Or-
acle will officially offer technical support for Or-
acle products running on VMware. This is a win-
win for customers,” said Sanjay Poonen, chief
operating officer, customer operations, VMware.
“We’re also happy to welcome Oracle to the VM-
ware Cloud Provider Program, which will allow
them to migrate and manage workloads running
on VMware Cloud Foundation in Oracle Cloud
Infrastructure.”
With this announcement, Oracle becomes a part-
ner in the VMware Cloud Provider Program and

Oracle’s rapidly expanding footprint of global re-
gions to scale globally without needing to estab-

essary conversion to the cloud. Only a highly
scalable, cloud-native solution such as Falcon
can deliver on its promise to stop breaches. We
believe this analyst report is yet another third-par-
ty validation that CrowdStrike continues to sepa-
rate itself from the pack with our game-changing
cloud-native technology that stops breaches.”
In its assessment Forrester states, “Most EDR
tools are increasing their native support for threat
prevention technologies but CrowdStrike has
managed to outpace the other EDR players and,
based on its recent IPO, is now one of the larg-
est overall endpoint security suite vendors. Its
cloud-based Falcon platform was one of the first
to offer direct technology-sharing partnerships
through an open app marketplace, giving buyers
the ability to extend endpoint capabilities quickly
and directly through the console. This has posi-
tioned the company with one of the most active
third-party development communities around
their endpoint platform.”
Similar to how other cloud giants transformed
their industries, such as Salesforce with CRM,
CrowdStrike is transforming the security indus-
try with the first Security Cloud — offering the
first and only single-agent cloud-native endpoint
protection platform that seamlessly delivers a
full suite of endpoint security capabilities. Using

Veeam Software, the leader in Backup solu-
tions that deliver Cloud Data Management, an-
nounced that Bahrain Credit financing company,
under Bahrain Commercial Facilities Company
(BCFC), has selected Veeam Backup & Repli-
cation to guarantee data Availability, improve
operational efficiency and better deliver digital
services to its customers.
Bahrain Credit prides itself on being the first
choice for customers by providing excellent
products, services and solutions and relies on
data Availability for its continued success. Bah-
rain Credit’s priority has been the digitization of
its services to extend greater conveniences to its
customers, while catering to Bahrain’s growing
demographic of young, tech-savvy digital na-
tives. Getting to know its customers would be
central to its strategy of engaging millennials.
Therefore, data would be the nerve-center of its
new paradigm.
“Financial services digitization is our key to pro-
vide a differentiated customer experience that
suits the new lifestyles changes,” explained Ali
Al Marzooq, Head of Innovation and Business
Technology of Bahrain Credit. “With unique dig-
ital services on-boarding, we aim to simplify the
process to help our customers save their time and
effort. We’re building omni-channel engagement
for our customers through web portals, mobile
apps and self-service kiosks, so their entire cus-
tomer journey can be managed online.”
Veeam’s scalable backup and replication capa-
bilities accelerates business performance, pro-
viding an easier and more efficient way for the
Bahrain Credit in-house team to manage scalable
workloads. Veeam Backup & Replication takes
care of the backup and recovery of several mis-
sion-critical virtual machines (VM), including
the VM running Bahrain Credit’s core database,
which stores all customer data and serves all its
enterprise applications. By enabling the group’s
Digital Transformation strategy, Veeam has radi-
cally enhanced efficiencies across multiple areas
of Bahrain Credit’s business.
With huge amount of its data existing solely in
digital formats and a single hour of downtime
costing a significant amount of money, Bahrain
Credit attributes the ability to now smoothly run
key operations, guarantee business performance
and meet its customers’ needs to Veeam.
Bahrain Credit is now set to partner with Veeam
in a cloud migration project designed to be the
first step in an ongoing Digital Transformation
journey for the company. The program will also
integrate Veeam’s replication solution for disaster
recovery and a system for the archiving of emails
for off-boarded employees to promote greater
service continuity for customers.
“The cloud will enable us to meet our goal of not
having any physical servers by 2020 and we see
Veeam as being a key partner in achieving this
objective,” continued Al Marzooq.
“We pride ourselves in delivering effective, easy-
to-use services to our clients. Our reliable and
robust Backup and recovery technology gives
customers the confidence to proactively manage
their data, drive digital services to market fast-
er and deliver highest value and save them both
time and money,” said Claude Schuck, Regional

Barracuda Forensics and Incident

Standalone solution gives customers and service providers flexibility to enhance
existing email security with automated incident response and threat insights
Barracuda Networks, a leading provider of
cloud-enabled security solutions, today an-
nounced the general availability Barracuda Fo-
rensics and Incident Response. Previously avail-
able only to Barracuda Total Email Protection
customers, the Forensics and Incident Response
offering can now be layered with an organiza-
tion’s existing gateway security solution, giving
customers and service providers greater flexibili-
ty in email threat detection and response.
Barracuda Forensics and Incident Response is
an innovative solution allowing organizations to
proactively respond to targeted attacks that were
delivered to users’ inboxes. The solution auto-
mates a process that otherwise can take hours or
even days to complete.
“Modern threats are finding new ways to by-
pass email gateways, so businesses need to take
new approaches to prevention, detection and re-
sponse,” said Hatem Naguib, COO at Barracuda.
“Malicious emails may end up in a user’s mail-
box, and when they do, they need to be addressed
quickly. Many organizations lack the information
and tools security admins need to address these
incidents, which results in a manual, inaccurate,
time-consuming process.”
According to the 2019 SANS Incident Response
survey, manual remediation of security incidents
takes more than six hours for 80 percent of or-
ganizations — with attacks spreading across the
organization. The same process can be automated
and completed in minutes with Barracuda Fo-
rensics and Incident Response. Based on Total
