This document contains the order of service for a Sunday church service at Mount Calvary Lutheran Church in Greenville, Michigan. The service includes sharing of peace, children's message, profession of faith through the Apostles' Creed, offering, prayers, Lord's Prayer, blessings and sending. The overall message is one of worshipping God, remembering Jesus' sacrifice, and being sent forth to serve.

Sunday mmmdd, 2009 10:15 am Mount Calvary Lutheran Church Greenville, Michigan On this day we remember that God, the author of all life, holds all life sacred, for He created every person who lives; Jesus died for all who live; and the Spirit would be the temple of all who live. So this day we honor life.

7. Children's Message Children (thru 3rd grade) may be dismissed at this time for 25-30 min. of age-appropriate singing and Bible-learning activities downstairs.
9. Profession of Faith (Apostles’ Creed) C I believe in God, the Father Almighty, maker of heaven and earth. And in Jesus Christ, His only Son, our Lord, who was conceived by the Holy Spirit, born of the virgin Mary, suffered under Pontius Pilate, was crucified, died and was buried. He descended into hell. The third day He rose again from the dead. He ascended into heaven and sits at the right hand of God the Father Almighty. From thence He will come to judge the living and the dead.
10. Profession of Faith (Apostles’ Creed) I believe in the Holy Spirit, the holy Christian Church, the communion of saints, the forgiveness of sins, the resurrection of the body, and the life T everlasting. Amen.
11. Offering (“Honor the LORD with your wealth, with the first-fruits of all your crops; then your barns will be filled to overflowing, and your vats will brim over with new wine. Prov. 3:9-10) Please do not feel obligated to participate in this time of sharing. The offering is provided for our members and others who have been led to support the Lord’s work through Mt. Calvary. Give cheerfully, as the Holy Spirit guides you. If you do not currently have a church home, we invite you to become a part of the Lord’s family at Mt. Calvary. Please fill out an attendance card found in the pew and pass it to the center aisle. The ushers will collect them after taking the offerings to the altar.
12. Second “Noisy” Offering All the men and women who were willing brought to the LORD freewill offerings for all the work the LORD…had commanded them to do. Exodus 35:29

Prayer (“Rejoice always, pray without ceasing, give thanks in all circumstances;” 1 Thess. 5:16-18) (Each petition ends with the words, “Lord, in Your mercy,” to which we respond, “Hear our Prayer.”) P Into Your hands, O Lord, we commend all for whom we pray, trusting in Your mercy through Your Son, Jesus Christ, our Lord. Lord's Prayer C Our Father who art in heaven, hallowed be Thy name, Thy kingdom come, Thy will be done on earth as it is in heaven; give us this day our daily bread; and forgive us our trespasses as we forgive those who trespass against us; and lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from evil. For Thine is the kingdom and the power and the glory forever and ever. Amen.
